Bird Girl Pet Services provides professional pet sitting, grooming, and boarding services for cats, exotic birds, reptiles, and small mammals in Hicksville and throughout central Nassau County on Long Island.
Whether your cat needs daily visits at home, your parrot or reptile needs experienced boarding, or your bird is due for a nail or wing trim, every service is built around species-specific care from a certified, insured professional.

Cat Sitting
In-home cat sitting keeps your cat in their own space with their own routine, their litter box where they expect it, and their food bowl in the right spot.
Every visit includes fresh food and water, litter box care, medication support if needed, playtime or quiet companionship based on your cat's personality, and a home check covering mail, packages, lights, and locks.
I send photo and text updates after each visit so you always know how things are going. Visits are available in 15, 30, or 45 minute lengths depending on your cat's needs and how many cats are in the household. I work with adult and senior cats.
Exotic Pet Sitting
I provide in-home exotic pet sitting for parrots, reptiles, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and other exotic pets throughout central Nassau County.

Each visit follows your care plan for feeding, fresh water, cage or enclosure upkeep, light and heat schedules, medication, and species-appropriate enrichment. I care for multi-species households and handle separate routines for each animal in your home.

Bird and parrot sitting: experienced care for parrots, cockatiels, cockatoos, conures, and other birds in your home.

Reptile sitting: daily visits for bearded dragons, geckos, snakes, tortoises, and other reptiles.

Small mammal sitting: routine care for rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and other small mammals.
I am a Certified Professional Pet Sitter with training in avian, reptile, and small mammal emergency first aid, insured and bonded, and I serve as a board member with the Long Island Parrot Society. Visits are available in 15, 30, or 45 minute lengths.
Pet Boarding
Birds, small mammals, and reptiles board in my Hicksville home with species-appropriate housing, climate control, and daily hands-on care.

Parrots board in a dedicated room with filtered airflow, an air purifier, and generator backup.

Rabbits, guinea pigs, and chinchillas are housed in my climate-controlled living area with cooling surfaces and visual barriers between guests.

Reptiles board in enclosures with ceramic heat emitters, UVB lighting, and misting as needed for the species.
Every guest receives a structured daily routine of feeding, cleaning, monitoring, and enrichment. All tools and enclosures are cleaned with F10 veterinary disinfectant between guests.
A current wellness exam is required for all boarders, and birds must have a vet-issued health certificate on file before their stay.
Beak & Nail Trims
Bird Girl Pet Services offers grooming by appointment for birds, small mammals, and small reptiles in Hicksville. Bird grooming covers nail trims, wing trims, and beak trims when the beak is overgrown for the species.

I groom birds up to the size of an Amazon parrot and perform all grooming solo with gentle towel restraint and stress monitoring throughout. Most bird appointments take 5 to 10 minutes.
Small mammal grooming includes nail trims for rabbits and guinea pigs.

Reptile nail trims are available for bearded dragons and other small lizards.

All tools are cleaned with F10 veterinary disinfectant between clients, and I use fresh towels and scrub tops for every appointment. Grooming takes place in a separate room from boarding guests.

Appointments are available on Saturdays only. Grooming can also be added to a boarding reservation at a discounted rate.
