Hi, I’m Kaitlin, founder of Bird Girl Pet Services. People often ask me how I started this journey, and the truth is, it began with a lifelong love of birds and a calling to care for animals who often don’t get the specialized attention they need.

A Passion That Took Flight

I’ve been around birds for as long as I can remember. My own flock includes Tiki, Buddy, Marley, and Reuben—each with their own personalities, quirks, and care needs. Over the years, I worked alongside exotic veterinarians and ran a bird grooming and boarding business. I realized how few resources existed for families with parrots, rabbits, or reptiles.

Filling the Gap in Exotic Pet Care

Most pet sitters don’t have the training or experience to properly care for exotic pets. From dietary needs to safe handling and enrichment, these animals need more than a once-a-day visit or a basic boarding setup. That’s why I created Bird Girl Pet Services—a space where exotic pets are understood and treated with the care and respect they deserve.
